On Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore faced their seventh defeat in IPL 2019 against Mumbai Indians. Currently at the bottom of the IPL points table, RCB have just one win out of eight matches.

Mumbai Indians won the toss and they chose to field. RCB started with Virat Kohli and Parthiv Patel. Kohli went early in the match with 8 runs off 9 balls. Parthiv Patel scored 28 runs off 20 balls. Thanks to AB de Villiers and Moeen Ali who achieved a total of 171 runs for Mumbai Indians to chase.

In the last two overs, MI needed 22 runs with Kireon Pollard and Hardik Pandya as their batsmen. For the final over, Virat Kohli gave the chance to left arm spinner Pawan Negi. But the move didn’t go as planned, as Pandya completed 22 runs in just six balls with two boundaries and two sixes.  Fans have lashed out at Virat for his last minute decision in the game. But he is not the person to blame. It was RCB’s bowling coach AshishNehra’s decision. He signaled from the dugout to introduce Negi when Virat was picking Navdeep Saini.

Disappointed fans took to twitter to take a dig at Nehra for his decision.
