The Indian fast bowler, Jasprit Bumrah player of Mumbai Indians suffered a shoulder injury during the IPL 2019 third match between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians on Sunday, 24th March 2019. Bumrah is stated to be recovering well from his injury and might be ready to hit the ground very soon.
While trying to stop Rishabh Pant’s hit who dug out a toe crusher, Bumrah tried to halt the ball with his left hand but couldn’t make clean contact and fell. He ended up injuring his left shoulder and was seen walking in pain on the ground at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. He did not come to bat during the match and Mumbai Indians lost by 37 runs.

Bumrah’s injury created great fear for Indian team given that he plays a crucial role in the upcoming ICC Cricket World Cup 2019. The management of Mumbai Indians has dispelled fears and mentioned that Bumrah is recuperating from his injury and will be further assessed on Monday.
Mumbai Indians are slated to play Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday, 28th March 2019 in Bengaluru. But the team is unsure if Bumrah will recover by then or will even participate in the rest of the league.
