Strengths of KKR IPL Squad 2018 for VIVO IPL 2018
The swash buckling West Indian allrounders, Andre Russell and Sunil Narine, were ratined by the team and then they bought Chris lynn back, which made the core strength of the group in last few seasons. The fast bowling attack is formidable with Mitchell Starc and Mitchell Jhonson providing the much-needed experience to highly talented U-19 fast bowlers, Kamlesh Nagarkoti and Shivam Mavi. Again, the explosive batsman like Shubhman Gill with Robin Uthappa and Nitish Rana will be the main heroes of the team.
Weakness of KKR IPL Squad 2018 for VIVO IPL 2018
The lack of leadership experience in the team would be a problem and for Dinesh Karthick to step into the shoes of Gautam Gambhir, will be daunting task. The team is on the younger side and it is to be seen how Dinesh take them forward. The other cause of concern to the team will be the likeliness of its players like Lynn and Starc to catch injuries and not able to complete the tournament. Andre Russel is coming of a one-year ban and recent injury in PSL have added to the problems of KKR. Also, Sunil Narine was reported for illegal bowling action and if that comes up again in IPL, KKR will be in sheer difficulty to put together a competitive team for the tournament.
