Mumbai Indian won IPL trophy thrice in 2013, 2015 & 2017 under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Where in 2011 & 2013 Mumbai won the Champion league.
2) Royal Challengers Bangalore:-
Royal Challengers Bangalore is the second richest IPL teams in Indian Premier League which owned by businessman Vijay Mallya. He owned Royal Challengers Bangalore for $111.6 million. Its market value is $88 million. A star-studded Royal Challengers Bangalore was in search of their first IPL trophy. RCB played 3 IPL finals in 2009, 2011 & 2016 but all three times they failed to win the trophy.
3) Chennai Super Kings
Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful teams in IPL. It owned by ex-BCCI President and ex- ICC chairman N. Srinivasan’s India Cement. He owned this team for $91.9 million and it is market value is $72 million which is equal to Mumbai Indians. Chennai Super Kings is won IPL trophy thrice in 2010, 2011 & 2018 and they were runner-up in 2008, 2012, 2013, 2015. After the ban of two years they back to IPL in 2018 and won the trophy.
4) Delhi Daredevils:-
Delhi Daredevils one the team who never won IPL trophy in last 11 years. The property development company GMR Group owned Delhi Daredevils for $84 million and it is market value $40 million. In March 2018, GMR sold a 50% stake in Delhi Daredevils to JSW Sports for 500 Cr ($77 million). The brand value of Delhi Daredevils is $44 million. Delhi Daredevils reached semi-finals of IPL in 2008 & 2009. In 2012 they reached in the play-off but after that they always in the last four spots. This time they changed the team from “Delhi Daredevils” to “Delhi Capitals”.
5) Kings XI Punjab:-
Kings XI Punjab always in news just because of Preity Zinta the co-owner of the team. The Kings XI Punjab team owned by the Dabur group’s Mohit Burman (46%), the Wadia group’s Ness Wadia (23%), Preity Zinta (23%) and Saptarshi Dey of the Dey & Dey Group. The group owned this team for $76 million. The brand value is $41 million. In 2014 Kings XI Punjab reaches final of the IPL trophy that was their best performance in IPL history.
6) Kolkata Knight Riders:
Kolkata Knight Riders is the third team who won IPL trophy two or more times. Kolkata Knight Riders franchise bought by Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan’s company Red Chillies Entertainment in partnership with Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta for a price of $75.09 million. In 2015 they bought a stake in the Caribbean Premier League cricket team Trinbago Knight Riders. KKR is the most valuable team of IPL and its brand value is $99 million. This is just because of its owner and Bollywood star & king khan Shah Rukh Khan. KKR makes more money through advertising and sponsorships. KKR won the IPL trophy in 2012 and 2014.
