SRH vs DC Match Summary: If the first two weeks were dominated by big wigs like CSK, KKR and MI, the third week belongs to minnow like RCB, RR and Delhi Capitals. Although calling DC a minnow is doing injustice with them, but yes the late bloomers team have finally started to blossom.
It was a hard nut contest between DC and SRH, where SRH won the toss and opted to bowl first inviting DC batters to open. The decision that clicked for SRH initially as DC lost its both openers cheaply. Although, both Colin Munro and Shreyas Iyer consolidated the innings after scoring quick 40’s respectively easily crossing the 100+ total.
After the duo dismissal Rishabh Pant went made and the demanding quick 23, after his dismissal the runs came thick and quick and in the end DC innings was halted at 155/7 in 20 overs. Khaleel Ahmed was the pick of the bowler as he took 3/30 in 4 overs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad started the innings in an emphatic fashion as both the openers David Warner and Jonny Bairstow scored eye pleasing runs at a brisk pace, where David Warner was dismissed at 51, Jonny Bairstow lost his wicket at 41. But since the duo departure, the middle order was blown away by DC bowlers like dust blown by the Vacuum cleaner.
The tail was fully exposed to DC bowlers and they left n stones unturned in putting the final nail in the coffin. In the end, Sunrisers Hyderabab innings was halted to 116 as the Hyderabadis lost the match by 39 runs.
Kagiso Rabada was declared the man of the match for his 4/22 in the match.
