The great advertisement for the tournament CSK is one of the most successful teams in the history of the IPL and they are the only team with a large number of winning percentage than any other teams in the world. CSK along with Mumbai Indians are the only teams to have lifted IPL trophy thrice in the history of the IPL.

During his brief stay with Chennai Super Kings for 2008 to 2013 he has scored 1612 runs in 65 innings with the strike rate of around 128.

Besides that, he stands third among the list of highest of six hitters. One of the classy batsmen who can play big innings in the longest format of the game was really unlucky to play the least number of matches to his country. The real talent was unfortunate to stand in the list of domestic giants who did not play many matches in international cricket. But he proved his critics wrong by his strong performance for CSK in Indian Premier League. Badrinath’s main role was to standing in the wicket and rotating the singles and keeps the scorecard ticking.

During his stay with CSK, he has scored 1441 runs in 67 innings with the strike rate of 118. He was brought by Bangalore in 2014 and officially got retired from all forms of cricket in the same year.

Nicknamed as Mr. Cricket, Mike Hussy also proved his critics’ wrongs by his strong performance for CSK in IPL. Highly regarded as the best player of old-school cricket many cricketing pundits predict that he will not be the big hit in t20 cricket but he produced the different story. He along with Murali Vijay opened innings for CSK in 2010 and 2011 and gave the steady start for their team. He in particular contributed heavily for CSK and he was also one of the reasons for their success in 2010 and 2011.

 He was the mainstay of CSK’s batting unit between 2011 and 2014.  With 1768 runs in 49 innings with the strike rate of 123 and an average of 42.10 mike hussy stands third in the list of highest run scorers for CSK. MI bought him 2014 auctions and was retired from cricket in 2015. He again back to CSK jersey in 2018 as a batting consultant.

MS Dhoni

The face of Indian cricket and more importantly the face of CSK MS Dhoni was the consistent performer for his team in IPL.  His brilliant captaincy skills and player management skills were the main reason the CSK‘s success over the years. He has played many magnificent knocks for his team and guided his team for the most famous victories in the history of the IPL over the years.  One of the greatest finishers in the history of the game MS Dhoni has scored 3441 runs in 131 innings over the years for CSK. Suresh Raina

The flamboyant left-hander from Uttar Pradesh, Suresh Raina needs no introduction to world cricket as well as in IPL. One of the consistent performers of the tournament Suresh Raina played a key role in the success of CSK in IPL. He was the pillar of their batting order over the years and he continues to do the same in upcoming years also. His part-time bowling and effective fielding make him a complete team man. During his brief stay with CSK, he has scored 4144 runs in 143 innings with the strike rate of 140 and the average of 35.  He also captained the side for 3 matches also.

During the ban, he played for Gujarat Lions and captained the side but eventually went back to CSK in 2018. He has got a role to play for CSK in upcoming years also.
